With SAFETY as our #1 Core Value at Mission Ridge Range and Academy, our 6-hour License to Carry (LTC) class is taught in an engaging, relaxed, and fun atmosphere where we cover Texas State and federal laws and apply them in a safe learning environment.
After completing this course, students will be able to apply for their carry permit (LTC) in the state of Texas, which will also allow the student to carry their firearm in states where an LTC reciprocity agreement has been established. By obtaining your LTC, you will have fewer restrictions & regulations on where you can carry your firearm. Other common names for the LTC course are CHL (Concealed Handgun License) and CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon).
The State of Texas requires each student to complete a written exam at the end of the course and every participant must perform a shooting proficiency test. The shooting proficiency test is designed to test your knowledge and skills of safe operation, handling, loading, unloading, and your ability to shoot a handgun up to 15 yards.
Please feel free to bring food and drink into our classroom (not permitted on the range) as there is no break for lunch. Please fill out our safety waiver prior to arriving.
